An unnatural insect adopted in feeding off magical energy. For that reason, they always seeks out for magic users, like Mage Cats or Darkners. When they found a suitable food source, they will deploy their jaws and wings in order to swarm their target. The mages have to rely on physical weapons to fight them off, otherwise they will unintentionally strengthen the Manites should they tried to ward them off using even more magic.

They usually resides in massive groups around ruins that have magical
properties... perhaps what remains of clans they devastated?

Their biggest weakness is cold. If exposed to cold enough temperature, they will completely become immobilized.
