Eddie comes from a small town where he often felt alone but after saving enough money, he left home when he was 24 to go to the big city to meet people like him. One of the first people he met was a divorced bird DILF who used to be a professional body builder but is now a heavy construction worker and he taught Eddie to always be prideful and to be kind to everyone and great things will happen to him in return. So he takes that advice to heart as he's always happy to offer hugs to any fresh faces he meets. Eddie says that he often felt alone because of the fact that his horns can glow into a variety of colors depending on the emotion:
Blue=Sad
Red=Angry
Yellow=Afraid
Green=Disgusted
and Pink=Affectionate
That latter one seems to be the most common color to spot him sporting as he's rather happy towards everyone he meets.
