This was from last May when I graduated with my Bachelors in Fine Art and had to make a piece for the show. I focused on genetic manipulation and how it is incorporated into society - in this case, a pet shop. I made five different genetic mods, all with different reasons. The only one I don't have an image of is my salmon-chicken, which was an ugly bugger anyway.
Here is my hamster-parakeet, who I fondly named Theodor. His reason for being was the sell factor - many people will adopt things they are attracted to, usually without considering where it came from. Pet shops are no exceptions. He is now in a good home at the Rock and Roll Emporium.
