The Halifax Queer Ensemble is a 2SLGBTQ+ artist-led music ensemble based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I'm one of its members, and generally perform piano (as heard in this recording), although we as members of the ensemble don't stick to one single instrument and generally try to deconstruct how we approach traditional orchestra music by, well... queering it up :0)

I've arranged several pieces for the ensemble to perform together. This is my arrangement of "I Just Wasn't Made For These Times" by the Beach Boys, as performed by members of the ensemble including myself on piano. This is a stereo separation of a voice memo I recorded with my phone (I added some reverb, EQ trickery, etc.). It was recorded the night before our first show earlier this year, just a few months ago. Please excuse my playing being a little sloppy on this recording; it was the dress rehearsal and we were all very tired, hahah.
