Blazing fury, hollow pain, everything and nothing tearing through the inky space around her. Thrashing talons and snapping jaws. Her howls of misery-fuelled rage illuminated by the flames that ignite from within her being with every cut and scar.
If I'm in darkness alone for too long at a time, I can still hear her sometimes. She keeps coming back, each manifestation just as strong as the last. I'm growing tired of fighting her back.
...She's right, you know. I'm not worth anything. I never was, really, I'm not sure why I keep trying to convince myself otherwise...
