[Vent] While the world caves in

there's a lot goin on in life right now, and upon talking to my peer counselor who said she was surprised i sounded so level headed over it all n i realized 'ah i'm disassociating' thats why i seem so level headed on the outside, normally i deal with depersonalization more than derealization so I guess I didn't really connect the dots til she mentioned it
I don't want to talk in detail right now, But i'm having to consider a lot of options and choices right now.
My family is very sick, I won't know for a few more days if they will pull through alright. I'm getting tons of disability appointments that I *must* attend with hardly a weeks preparation, rescheduling would push my disability appeal back a few more months, Might have a ulcer, and am having to consider my options on a just-informed needed surgery on top of it all.
So its just... been a lot.
So its nice I guess in a way, to disassociate and just... be at peace while the world feels like its crashing in on me all at once.
I have amazing friends, a good support network, and a determination to keep pushing through no matter what.
I'll be ok no matter what happens, Its just scary right now.
but i'll be ok.

Having to accept I may eventually end up in a wheelchair, and having to learn to love myself better for it. Being mostly raised by ableists isn't helpful. I would never judge another for having to use aids but it's the whole 'okay for thee, not for me' mindset. I'm currently having psychotic episode, on top of that. Saw a pack of 10 feral dogs in my yard last week but they might've moved on. (Hopefully, they moved on.) Dealing with chronic fatigue. Things just pile one on top of another...
So I get it. Things get rough. And that's okay. Be easy on yourself and take the little things one step at a time. I hope your disability goes through so it's one less worry.
