Another character animation I did a while ago that could use a bit of work still, just a slight bit of polish here and there, but good enough to show.
This is Tek. One of my seal-drake critters. Beeg water boy at about 7'6". In normal life he's a boat/ship driver for ferries, transporting peeps and items between the islands he lives on. He's a bit of a big moosh when it comes to interactions but often very flirty as well. He'd often get the other critters to huff in annoyance and give him a bop at some of his flirty antics. The big boy just loves being a tease, especially when he knows the critter likes him.
The belly tattoo is a lil bit of a subcultural thing some of his kind do that live among the islands, where they get a mark of symbol that means something to them. Many of them often meet up for late night shenanigans and parties in the watery caves of of the islands. Usually a large party each full moon.
As a fighter, he packs a punch, being such a big heavy boy. He'll be able to grapple and gain decent leverage off of his normal throws for follow-up. Big boy also will have a few attacks that involve an spectral anchor of sorts. He'll be able to swing it in different archs based on the command input directions used. (Think Goldlewis from GG) He'll also be able to toss the anchors at varied archs, akin to Simon's ax-throw in Smash.
Aside from the anchors, some of his attacks will often involve water splashes of sorts. I'm thinking I might make a cheeky reference to Rugal and Krauser's "Kaiser Wave" where he takes a similar posture to charge up a large wave of water as a super.
Plenty of good fwaps could be done with that large tail of his, and of course, this big boy will have a belly bump for a close-range alt of a move and a "body-splash" attack for an air normal.
That's about it for now. Figured I'd drop in another post~

I still did frame-by-frame animate the tattoo, I just did it separately as a "subtract" layer blend setting in Aseprite. I made sure that all of the blended colors of his tummy and the tattoo were added to the palette, so that exports for the game will be still properly palettized.
