While Eduardo struggles to handle his curse, Mina tries to calm him down as he begins to change into a sheepdog. If he freaks out during the transformation, he could become unstable, wild, and dangerous to others. This has happened before, and Mina's determined not to let it happen again. So, the vampire decides to teach Eduardo a focusing regimen to use whenever he feels his curse beginning to act up. This way, he's prepared to change at a moment's notice.

Almost a month later, Eduardo's regimen had helped him become calmer and more accustomed to his transformations, thanks to Mina. It was still strange for him to experience his human thought process becoming extremely simplified in feral form, but thankfully he could still recognize Mina and the others. He might not think or look like his usual self when he turned, but deep down, he was still Eduardo through and through. Besides, he still had Mina to keep an eye on him, and vice versa.
