Since also absorbing and being a prime source of the Dark Gaia energy that gives him his Werehog form, Cypher goes through a different growth spurt under the full moon as he's turning into his were form. He's had so much energy in him that night, his boots couldn't be changed into cleats, but instead became tattered remains of metal and fabric material torn apart by his feet, much like his gloves. And the dark energy began to radiate his entire body, mostly at his feet. So much so that a small cloud of dark Gaia energy filled the air from inside the hot shoes and also lingers around from them and with each and every step Cypher will take as a Werehog
