When characters outlive their welcome and become dated, I like hold on to them in my memory banks and re-imagine them into a more matured and developed framework. I've drawn these black cave-dwelling canine fellas (I've been calling them 'the Ok'.) since some of my embarrassing high school days when I modeled my drawings after Jhonen Vasquez's comic stylings with lots of zany violence and brooding antics. The few comic pages that birthed these guys were pretty bad, sometimes even unpleasant. Luckily they're hidden somewhere safe, where they might even be appreciated. I think i've got a much better place for them in my present story draft.
I used to draw them like barely detailed stick figures.
