i upload .PNG files as thumbnails and they get jpegged ... never noticed.
Probably because I never bothered to put text all over them (i *should* redo that). Maybe if they were already jpegs? Do your thumbnails get resampled if they are already the right dimensions? Or is it another case of hopeless conversion?
