# King Kong - King Kong (franchise)

If I included Godzilla, I suppose I'm legally required to also include King Kong at this point, especially after the shade I dropped on the big ape in said picture. I should clarify that I don't dislike King Kong. Which I suppose is obvious if I gave him a full-fledged entry - It was just something I simply had to do, much like stuffing the angry Godzilla in the background here. I guess it would've worked better had I posted this one first, but they wouldn't have lined up correctly ranking wise. Oh well, you get the point.

King Kong is one of the most quintessential 'classics' out there. Beating out the 'King of the Monsters' by over 20 years-(at least by the movie)-the big ape is a beloved icon who gives Godzilla a run for his money at least in terms of notoriety... but he's also like, just a big monkey so, there's not much else to him. I respect what he is and what he's done but at the end of the day he's not that interesting to me, hence his bottom rung place in this sub-category. That said, I may do some more connecting pictures like this in the future. It was fun to do and I can definitely expound upon it better in the future.
