Yes, finally posting more Meerina art~ This was for Palette The Painter's birthday last year, dog is his! Art by Wrylewd!

Story:

Palette and Meerina went looking for some magical crystals to help amplify Meerina's magic power in order to prevent more of her famous magic mishaps. When looking for crystals on a mountain, they tripped and toppled down into a cavern filled with them! They landed in a pool in the middle of the crystals, causing the nearby rock formations to light up. The pair were bathed in a strange light, one which altered both their minds and their reflections...

They opened their eyes at the same time and found themselves both feeling rather odd. Meerina felt a lot taller and thinner than usual, while Palette felt shorter and heavier. They looked down and were surprised to find themselves in each other's bodies. Weider still, they still had their old reflections in the water! Meerina's reflection was now wearing Palette's clothes, while Palette's was wearing Meerina's!

Now in a dog body and freaked out at being tall now, Meerina slapped "his" hands against his face in shock, "O-Oh my! I'm a dog now?!"

Palette nodded as “she” grabbed her flabby stomach with an astonished look on her face, "And I'm a meerkat! We're in each other's bodies now!"

Meerina gasped, "We gotta switch back somehow! But I don't know how these crystals and this pond did it..."

"What if we asked Jam? Surely he could fix us!"

Meerina laughed nervously, "S-Sure, just hope he doesn't mix us up any worse! He's a good lover, but can be a bad 'problem solver' at times!"

The pair shared a good laugh at that current predicament as they left the cave. They hoped Jam would be able to find a cure to return them to their original bodies. Here's hoping science can beat magic this one time!
