Fall, 1392
Miscabbards were soon fleeing in all directions, pursued by vengeful freed prisoners, eager to settle scores. Innumerable bloody fights broke out as fanaticism fought desperation. Again the tides shifted; caught from behind, the cultists reeled in confusion back into the Throne Room.
In the center of the maelstrom, Mera finally began tearing his way through his prison with the help from his allies. The large bronze dragon had initially been ignored when he was bound and harmless, but now his escape efforts attracted the attention of the Miscabbards, who fired projectiles at the captive, scattering his would-be rescuers. Mera hissed in defiance as Gren saw the danger and quickly shot down those enemies the half-Trasgu deemed most dangerous.
In the spaces above, Asaewath and Rargesteyae were losing their fight against the Lord of the Sky. Despite being outnumbered, the demon was still holding her own against the two smaller, tired dragons, one badly weakened from weeks of torture. The green dragon bravely defended his sister, diving in to blast at the Lord of the Sky whenever an opportunity appeared or Rargesteyae faltered, but Yelkcub kept focus on the larger and more dangerous threat and the younger bronze dragon was gradually forced down towards enemy archers waiting below.
Then the Miscabbard leader moved to pounce upon Rargesteyae and Asaewath immediately leaped in at the opening, tackling the Lord of the Sky from her side. Demon and green dragon grappled, thrashed, clawed and bit at each other. Yelkcub attempted to throw a fireball into Asaewath's face but the green dragon evaded the blast and snapped at the demon's throat. The Lord of Sky recoiled fast enough that Asaewath only managed to bite her shoulder and cloak; even so Yelkcub screeched in pain before violently smashing her staff into the green dragon’s chest.
Releasing his grapple, Asaewath silently crumpled and fell from the sky.
*Brother!*
Rargesteyae dived towards her sibling, managing to catch Asaewath but immediately staggering under the weight of bearing him. The green male coughed, and there was blood. As the two siblings struggled to keep aloft, the Lord of the Sky laughed and dived towards them, claws glistening.
Yet just as the demon was about to strike, a new blur slammed into her, sending Yelkcub tumbling back towards the cavernous ceiling. The Miscabbard leader was infuriated to see a battered silver dragon now opposing her.
*Slave! How dare you rise against me!* The Lord of the Sky spat as she faced off against her new opponent.
*I do dare, demon who has forsaken her dragon soul!* Jagewaoyia hissed.
*I see that my Miscabbards have not broken you yet! Well I’ll see to that when I feed you the brains of your boyfriend and his sister!*
*You’ve gone mad, Yelkcub of the Western Foothills.* The silver dragon retorted. *You killed the Lord of the Earth. You broke the Miscabbards. You could have ended all of this. But you embraced it. You kept this monstrous terror going. You have fallen. So I will pay you back for the sufferings you have inflicted!*
With that, Jagewaoyia and Yelkcub both charged at each other.Rod Stewart - Maggie May

Something something power and corruption, I'd imagine.
Yes, plus trauma and abuse transference among other fun psychologies.
