Day 18

"It's been so many years since it happened. Vern went back to the human world before Axel killed Lotus and lost my trust and friendship. In the span of a week, I lost my best friend who went home. I lost my girlfriend, who got crushed by a boulder. And I lost my friend Axel, who chose to go down a darker path, losing himself. I...wish things went differently, but it's a lost cause worrying about it."

This day's theme is loss, and I felt it best to have Jake reminisce about the days where he had it all. Nothing could go wrong, and yet, it was lost to selfishness and fate. He now sits in his office, the memory of his old friends coming back to hurt him again.
