The chariot, stalions of the skies, the airborn behemoths ridden by Cheru. Chariots are incredibly powerful with their claws, and stand about 7 meters tall, and weigh several hundred pounds. They cannot fly, only glide, and this is only accomplished by hydrogen lessening their weight. Although they don't have the best control while airborn, they glide well enough, and can remain level. Their wings are situated above their head, and head is at a sharper angle than most creature. They can hold things with their tail.
Chariots can carry multiple cheru, and fight with their heavy claws. They can be quite skillful at this. Cheru make their home burrowing into stone, which is what the claws are so powerful for. They are sentiant, but not as intellegent as Cheru are. Aside from burrowing, Chariot's typical duties involve mining and transport, more often transporting food. Chariots usually coexist with Cheru, but on occasion live alone. When they do, they swoop down and strike to hunt. Typically, Cheru harvest meals, which is why chariots hang around. The isolated chariot clans arn't nearly as common, and heavily dispersed, so culture is heavily varied. Because of the Cheru influence, they also speak Seraphi.
