But I like lemons! My love for them has been renewed recently because Jason also made lemon bars recently and those were fucking yummy too.

I'd say you did a damn good job of it. Scaling stuff up doesn't usually go over well, but here it gave the picture a sort of softness that's pleasing to the eye. It looks intentional!
