During a stroll in the forest while on her way to pay Phoenix and Forest a visit, Annabelle encountered a Pokémon Egg lying in the grass. Unable to ignore it, Annabelle decided to take the Egg and try to hatch it. Curiosity arose among Team Justice, as everyone wondered what was inside the Egg.

As the Egg grew closer to hatching, Phoenix began having strange premonitions, with very little idea as to what they could mean or what may be causing them.

Eventually, the Egg hatched, and after further discussion, Team Justice decided to name their newest family member "Anubis".

But just what kind of Pokémon is Anubis? Why does he seem to have a particular interest in Phoenix? And just why did Phoenix have those strange premonitions when Anubis was close to hatching?
