Iorrwel's lair is within a mountain surrounded my miles of forest grown and maintained by Druids, Rangers, and Firbolgs. The foliage is bio-diverse and is pleasing to the eye, often attracting wildlife to the forest despite the occasional wildfire that starts due to the regional effects caused by the Red Dragon. The Druids use these wildfires to promote better growth in the areas where the fires start, and use their magic to quarantine the section of the forest where the fire has started so it doesn't spread throughout the forest.
