Red nanite flames poured out of the foe.

Three fought to avenge their leader.
The rest were told to run.
Seven became four.
Two tried to perform an ambush.
Their target an unstoppable force.
Four became two.
The lone huntress stood.
Her only living ally had ran in the prior chaos.
She fought in hatred.
She lost.
Her foe spoke.
"YOU ARE NOT WHOLE."
"NOT YET."
"WHEN YOU ARE WHOLE."
"WE WILL MEET AGAIN."
"YOU WILL JOIN THE REST IN ETERNITY."
She'd be left.
Her comms holding the screams of the comrade who chose cowardice.

Of course, I couldn't post one Lancer campaign character without posting the other.
Who would've guessed that an all consuming, ever regenerating, nanite mech would provide such trauma for a character?
The shift in tone between these two is quite amusing:
Contrail is an infertile man who made a lovecraftian paracausal AI to fill the role of his child.
Whilst Magpie lost her entire team, including her love interest (their leader), to a paracausal nanite mech.
Yeah, some aspects of this character are references to Signalis, her logo being a blatantly obvious one.
