Considering that it was Indigenous Day, I feel like Michael would have thoughts about the whole issue about Columbus and colonialism in general. Please comment!!!!!Art©KCFoxStudios

To be fair the indigenous people of the Americas while civil in there own society did practice some questionable things we’ll before Europeans landed. The Aztecs for example openly sacrificed human slaves to their gods and practiced cannibalism. The tribes of America waged war against each other for food and territory before whites ever landed. Not saying Europeans did nothing wrong (cause they did) but the idea that Christopher Columbus is kinda black balled is messed up.
A few years ago I read a great book: 1491: New Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus. We had a great book club at work before the Karens and the Cancer Culture took it over.
Heck, several native North Americans and south Americans had very impressive metal work, and don't forget the importance of botanical healing. Hawaiians and the Choctaw tribe had democracies that allowed women to vote centuries before Women's suffrage was a thing. Every tribe had their own problems, but they were experts in their craft. It's important that we recognize their skills and achievements to paint an accurate picture of history.
