Redesigning their uniforms again.

I keep getting hung up on how their society works cause I feel it's important that everything makes sense. How would a society of clones even work? Is everyone free to choose what they want to do with their life? Is there a caste system? Have they been created as a servant race for someone? Have they been created to be a culture where everyone is (supposedly) truly equal? How much or little indoctrination? Do they do everything themselves? Do they employ robots for the majority of their work? What is their ultimate goal? Why do they seek to expand to other planets?

It started with me wanting to do a story about a band of misfits banding together on planet-hopping adventures but at this point I don't even know what I'm doing anymore 😵
