A pile of sketches I've been doing for the past few weeks. Most of them are Beta, one of the main characters in my (other) book, 'The Beta Project'.
A lot of the upper ones are design development Beta and Alpha, the robots. There's also a bit of Kiana, or her shirt at least. And a little page with a picture of an alien, an early design which I've yet to finish.

It's nice to see how the robot's designs change almost every time I drew them. Especially with the hands and the dashboard on the chest.

1. - A few doodles of Beta's head, I like these because they feel cartoony and natural, rather than on-model. Also a few ideas for the LM10.
2. - A drawing of Alpha. I prefer to draw her over Beta because her curves seem more natural. She looks more 'smart' than I wanted to.
3. - The third, and currently latest designs for the robots.
4. - Older designs for the robots (specifically Beta). This was before I expected to use them in a book, so I'm kinda glad I dug it up.
5. - Expression practice for Beta. I especially like the fourth one. I presume Beta and Alpha has some kind of artificial skin.
6. - An old design of an alien. I've not worked on him nearly as much as I ought to... I think i have a few more modern designs of her somewhere...
7. - Another fairly old picture of Beta. This was the first time I'd drawn him for quite a while.
8. - Anatomy and a bit of expression practice for Kiana. She's a snow leopard for now.
9. - ...missed it.
10 - A few designs for Kiana's shirt. I want something that looks nice and futuristic, but not silly.

The only reason I'm not watermarking them is so i can colour them after if i happen to lose the psd. They'd also sorta ruin the image.
