Deceitman (Mighty Monster in the English Dubbed) was the final Gori Kaiju of the Spectreman TV series, appearing in Episodes 62, Gori's Death Match, and 63, Goodbye Spectreman.
Appearance and Abilities
Deceitman was a humanoid Cyborg design to destroy Spectreman; it incorporated the Brain and Nerve system of a Human Boxer after Gori discover a discrepancy in Spectreman's Flash attack maneuver which he intended to exploit. Deceitman had blue and silver in color scheme, sporting black boots and silver boxing gloves with spikes; it had a Walrus like head, with two sharp fangs on the mouth, but the top of it had a faucet like antenna(?) which I dunno the fucking purpose of. Deceitman while a Fighter, it was design with its own variant of Spectre Flash, making it the 2nd Gori creation with this ability – the other been the Fake Spectreman from the Igori arc.
History
Studying past battles with his foe, Gori discovers a 2.5 second delay discrepancy before Spectreman unleashes its Flash; plotting to exploit, he choses his latest creation, Deceitman but required a strong human to complete his new monster. He then choses a valley for his new base for the plan – the work around it causes Earthquakes that are felt all the way in Tokyo. While flying over the site, his systems detect the flash of a camera and that's where he discovers the culprit subject, a young boxer named Fiston training along with his Couch. Not wanting his plans spoiled he send Karas to get the Camera.

He later goes to his brother's Gym, where he meets up with him, as well George, Kim and Otto – the latter been a school friend of Fiston's – where another encounter with one of the Men in Black happens, when spotted the fiend runs away and George misses him, afterwards, Jerry explains of the situation to everyone. In the base, Fiston wakes up and where Karas reveals himself as one of the Men in Suits, but having fail get the Camera, Gori is force to proceed with the plan ahead of schedule – after a quick check up, Fiston learns what the villains intend to do with him and plays dead; as the fiends releasing to see what's wrong, the Boxer makes a failed attempt to break for it, and is put in the operation table to begin transfer the brain and nerve system for Deceitman.

The giants battle, with Deceitman taking at the Cyborg like a Boxer, taking Spectreman to task and even tossing him into a building. Spectreman is force to transform into his small human size when pinned down, but launches the Nebula Slice which it deflects with its punches, then tries to step on by the monster. At first, Spectreman seems to be wounded and kneels, but Gori's moment of celebration is short lived as Deceitman is the one that goes down and Spectreman standing victorious, however, the battle leaves Spectreman with damage, which will have consequences later.

There he informs Jerry of his brother's fate but tells him he went down fighting and then gives a box to him and bids goodbye; As he leaves the Hospital, he avoids his teammates, but still thanks them for their friendship. Jerry tells the others of George and Kim informs Arthur and Chief Kurata, and all join the search for him. As George heads back to face his enemies, Overlord informs him the damage sustain will not allow him to transform back to his Human form if it turns to Spectreman now. As far as Toku series go, it's among my favorites. While the special effects look kinda cheap(using still photos to animate the beams/rays most of the time), the storylines were engaging and kept you interested, while the characters were memorable, and enjoyable in the case of Gori and Karas.
The costumes for the Kaiju may have been a little cheap as well(Gokinosaurus II being a prime example), they weren't the worst I've ever seen and I can at least see the effort they put into making them.
As for Spectreman himself, I really dig his design: gold and bronze color scheme, face/helmet design reminiscent of Ultraman of course, and having at least a unique set of powers and weaknesses. Was kind of annoyed at how they changed the costumes, much like they did with the original Ultraman, but I did like the last one they settled on. All in all, I got the series on DVD and downloaded onto my external memory drive. But curious, did you ever check out the manga series?
