Old Dialogue:

Marceline: "Hi there! Thought I'd come see the demon queen herself."

Damaenya: Go away Marc! How'd you get into my world, past my most powerful military, traps, my demon lords, dimensional traps and most importantly my brother. Deep into my castle all the way to my bedroom? Only my brother can freely enter my room."

Marceline: "I bribed your brother into making a portal that led directly to your bedroom by giving him a remote control race car. Heh heh... anyway I wanted to get to know you more. Surely you wouldn't mind a vampire being friends with a demon?"

Damaenya: "Oh is that so? If you're trying to compare breasts sizes mine are bigger than yours. Second, since you're here I'm enslaving you. What will you do to abolish your insolence?"

This was one of my older Damaenya pictures from way back in 2019. Early art uploaded on DA at the time so I might as well add it to the scrap folder since I don't ever plan on finishing it, but I still may use Marceline for other situations.

I wanted to use my redesigned version of Marceline from Adventure Time to have a canon x OC relationship with my own OC. I wanted to try the OC getting into a relationship with a canon character from a game/cartoon/movie/etc and see how it went so I chose Marceline to have sexual interactions between a demon and vampire. After I drew this I immediately abandoned it about 5 minutes later and never made a continuation for it. The reason is because of two things:

1: people get absolutely insane in a bad way with canon x OC ships. Not all of them, but there are big handfuls of them that desire real relationships with canon characters that aren't real. There are a few people I've seen do this over the years that I will not name. Let's just say that they needed help in the worst way...

2: They're simply weird to me. I personally find it cringe to ship yourself or your OC(s) with an already established character, especially if the character has specific statuses like godhood, royalty, high school teen popularity (seen in way too many cartoons and anime), an overpowered combatant, someone that's super intelligent, famous criminals and so on. I mean I definitely like situations where you have an OC teaming up with a canon character (Dragon Ball Xenoverse 1 and 2 are good examples of this), but never to the point where sexual and romantic relationships form...

Mind you these are only my viewpoints. If you guys love canon x OC ships then have fun with it.
