Here is a repost of one of my original pieces, but i have fixed it up just a bit. This song modulates repeatedly from major and minor, like life changes from happy and sad, good and bad, love and hate. It is all expressed here in just the first step in recreating this song.
I hope everyone enjoys this piece as much as i enjoyed writing it.
The inspiration came from one of my favorite movies, Mr. Holland's Opus.

You can hear the same rhythm in the bass in either song.

I like how you do that "Buummm-babababa Buuummm-babababa" part with the strings but it kinda runs together and isnt quite seperated enough to be able to tell. It seems legato with some volume levels going up and down really really slightly.
Also adding a few more instruments to give it a more full effect.
The piano was great but perhaps it should have that plus an octave lower(both the origional and add the octave lower) for it to have more power.
Also maybe add a bass string like a double bass or stacato chello to do some jumpy like at 3:45 that
"buum-baah-bada Bumm-baah-bada..." somewhere in there so that the song can progress and have more depth(via lower notes. You'd be surprised at how low notes can make a song have more depth and fill out more.)
I hope that was helpful!!
