Feral Horse Commission by

Even when he's taking it easy, Embarr has a reputation to uphold. He's the strongest, fastest horse on Viridis, matched in power only by his own daughter. His mistress is the sort of girl who would rather starve than see him go hungry, and Ciara has risked her life for his sake as often as he has gone out f his way to protect her. It's hard for a stallion to not let that sort of thing go to his head a bit.

kashmere, who does such wonderful work with feral horses! And everything else she draws, too. If you aren't already watching her, you really should be.

Embarr the stallion belongs to
veloxfox Though only incidentally, as his true mistress is my vixen, Ciara.

Thanks! He's actually one of my oldest characters, and I've always been really fond of him. Horses were my first love, before I even found the fandom. Embarr and Ciara are very lucky to have each other, most certainly. She saved him from being abused when he was a yearling, and he saved her life when her home city was destroyed in a war. He can be very sweet when he's treated kindly, too. Embarr is based, in part, on the horse I had when I was a kid, and he was very sweet when he wanted to be.
Oh, Embarr has always been a favorite of mine, so I was really happy to have a chance to get him drawn again, and by such a wonderful artist too! I really like the relaxed, happy look of this piece, too. He has it kind of rough in Oseille, so I'm glad to see him in happier times. Now I just have to get art done of his daughter, who has become an important character in the sequel story.
