The whole life starts to slow down. We are used to live our lifes on the fasttrack. There are days when I travel more than thousand miles; but it feels like moving from one room to the other. We forget about the respect for distances.
And here we are. Mr. Nanuk is sitting next to me on the coach box, Rose is pulling our caravan. And we are slow. Really slow. Sometimes one of us jumps down and walks next to our draft horse, so that she has company. We feel every step of the distance we take during our journey. A wonderful feeling. There are no aapointments, no deadlines. Just the road and the next curve. I love this so much. And I can feel how I relax, just by listening to Rose's heavy hoove steps.
The horses dictate our daily routine. After ten kilometers we need to take a long break. The horses doze in the shadow of a few trees and we are sitting right next to them, watching the few cars that would pass by now and then. The weather is warm, the sky blue... and there is so little to worry about. Life is good as it is.
Our next stop for the night will be a monastery, run by just two or three monks. Somehow this fits quite perfectly to my feelings.
To be continued...
