Words can't begin tell you how deeply upset I am today over the loss of my and Rocky's precious cat of 20 years, Bowser. Some heartless f**k ran the poor cat over without even having the guts to come and tell me what had happened. It wasn't until neighbours came over to find me that I knew.
I will always cherish the time we had together. It's not going to be easy to get over the loss of a cherished pet I've had since I was just 11. but I'm sure, as they say, time heals old wounds.

Ouuuch that sucks :( I lost a ginger to a hit and run, though she was only about three :( I know the pain.
Still 20 years, that's a bloody good innings for a cat! Oldest i've had is 19. It'll get better but yeah, right now take the time to mourn and remember the good times.
