A lot of the libraries I've worked at have carpets. Carpet is better for sound dampening but yes... they absorb eeeeverything. Once every five years or so, if we are lucky, we'll have them cleaned. Finding out the carpet was in fact not beige was a truth I didn't need to know x.x
Cleaning is a big one. We don't clean anything. General building maintenance doesn't happen as often as we'd like either. The lack of time, staffing and funding are big causes of these. Safety issues tend to get addresses relatively quickly as those are liabilities, but refilling the paper towel dispenser, for example, isn't.
Eeh, maybe just not my type of humor, but didn't care for the joke as much this time around, and I'll admit I didn't get it right away.
However, I do need to say I love the passion on her face, she just looks so happy telling children stories. It makes me happy. Well done.
