Dolphin Don and I were on our way out of Denny's when Dolph stopped to check out the claw machine by the entrance. He asked me if I had a quarter, and I said I didn't and that I needed to get back to work on my latest project. He persisted, saying we could flip a coin on it: heads we leave, tails he plays the machine. Confused, I reminded him that I didn't have any coins, at which point he said that wouldn't be a problem.
I should've anticipated what was coming next, especially since it was his turn with the transformation gun.
Next thing I knew I was small, flat, and spinning through the air so fast it would've made me nauseous if I still had a stomach. I ended up landing face-first on his palm.
"Tails, I win," I heard him say. "Looks like you'll be paying then."
I would've yelled at him for messing up my plans for the day if I could, but unfortunately for me I couldn't even change the look on my engraved face. Soon enough I was being pushed into the coin slot and rolling away into the dark confines of the machine.
I'm soooooo getting him back for this when I get out of here...
Decided to write a short story for this one featuring a couple of the sonas I plan on making. They (I?) tend to transform each other a lot, so they're all pretty used to this kind of thing.
