This is a background character the old Champions game I played in. Janis has the ability to create portals to other dimensions or just other places. She's has several organizations after her to try and force her to use her powers for things like invasions, prison breaks, etc. She made friends with my character and the two went dimension hopping in an attempt to escape. Janis is rather shy and is something of a nerd (hence the Star Trek poster in the background) Until recently she generally hasn't been able to use her powers for combat.

Just in case you are wondering, the alternate spelling of the name is deliberate. It's meant to be closer to Janus.
