My first time at drawing Baba Yaga for drawtober. I'm not entirely happy with how it turned out, but it's a good attempt. My first sketch had her on top of the mortar, but the perspective didn't look right, so I just drew her sitting inside of it. Baby Yaga is a character from Slavic folklore who is described as a repulsive or ferocious-looking old woman who eats children, while in others she is a nice old woman who helps out the hero. She flies around in a wooden mortar wielding a pestle or broom, and dwells in a hut on chicken legs.
