Watching Hula Girl pet Chirithy, Mikey couldn’t help but just smile at this moment. It wasn’t every day his companion gets to be introduced to one of his friends. As this wholesome moment went on, it was suddenly interrupted when all three of them heard a loud crashing sound come from just outside the small home.
Mikey: What was that?!
Hula Girl: I don’t know. But it can’t be anything good.
Mikey: Chirithy! Get somewhere safe! I’ll come back if the coast is clear!
Chirithy: Right!
Not questioning the situation, Chirithy quickly jumped up from the floor, and suddenly disappeared in a small cloud of smoke. Reaching for the front door, reached his right hand out as he summoned his Bow Keyblade, just as Hula Girl grabbed her spear she left nearby. As the two of them got outside, they took a quick look at their surroundings.
Hula Girl: Stay on your toes, Mikey!
Mikey: Right!
The Jungle girl and Jungle boy looked all around the beach shore, where they didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. However, as Hula Girl looked to her left, she noticed part of a ship that was smashed to pieces near Mikey and Tu Li’s home.
Hula Girl: Mikey? I just want to be sure I’m not seeing things. But was that shipwreck always there near your place?
Mikey: No, it wasn’t. That’s the first time actually seeing that there.
Putting things together, Hula Girl figured out that the crash they heard outside was from the partial shipwreck that was now on the sandy beach. As for how it got there, is when she turned her gaze towards the ocean in front of them. Looking out at the deep waters, Hula Girl saw a line of bubbles. And those bubbles were making a line towards her and Mikey.
Hula Girl: Mikey! Get ready! Something’s coming towards us from the water!
Just as Mikey was getting his Bow Keyblade ready, a large creature had jumped from out of the water, using the water and its large body to slide across the sand, and was headed straight towards Mikey and Hula Girl. Seeing the creature coming towards them, the Jungle Girl and Jungle Boy got out of the way, easily dodging the sneak attack. When the creature stopped moving, it quickly jumped up, getting itself to stand on its two small feet. With the creature revealing itself, Mikey and Hula Girl now had a good look at it. Standing in-between the two, was a large shark that was standing upright. In front of its snout was a gold hook, bent in a way that the tip was now frontwards from the face. However, where the eyes were located, they were covered up by steel plates, as the open mouth that was a large zipper revealed the head of a different creature inside. This was not a shark at all, but something big that was wearing a shark costume. Around the arms of the shark suit, two large bangles were worn. But dangling from each of them, was a large golden anchor. The large creature may have looked ridiculous, but it showed how strong it was being able to carry two heavy anchors without any problems. And around its body, it carried another set of golden chains with it, as all of them were attached together by a lifesaver. However, when Mikey got a look at what was above the lifesaver, he knew why the foe going up against him and Hula Girl looked silly. Branded on top of the shark costume, was a Heartless Emblem. Mikey and Hula Girl were up against a Shipwreck Shark Heartless.
Mikey: Kamiya! Put away your spear and bring out your Keyblade! This is a Heartless were up against!
Hula Girl: A Heartless?! Well then.
Stabbing her spear into the sand, Hula Girl raised out her right hand as she summoned out her Keyblade.
Hula Girl: Now I can finally go up against one of these things on an even playing field!
Mikey and Hula Girl readied themselves for a fight. And making the first move, Mikey raised his Bow Keyblade up into the air, and used Nature's Favor on himself and Hula Girl, making a vibrant green glow surround both of them for a moment, causing their strength to increase, as a sickly green glow surrounded the Shipwreck Shark briefly, causing its defense to decrease. But just as Mikey was about to raise his Bow Keyblade up into the air again, the Shipwreck Shark turned towards Mikey, as it raised its right fin upward.
Hula Girl: I got your back, Mikey!
Just as the Shipwreck Shark was bringing its right fin down to the beach sand to swing the anchor attached, Hula Girl’s Keyblade was suddenly enveloped in flames, as she used Fire Raid. She then threw her flaming keyblade at the Shipwreck Shark Heartless as it spun in a cartwheel, striking it 4 times at its back. This attack caused the Heartless to stagger on its attack, causing the anchor to swing away from Mikey, as he dodged the attack.
Mikey: Thanks for covering me, Kamiya!
As Hula Girl’s Keyblade went back to her, and not wasting the opportunity, Mikey raised his Bow Keyblade up into the air again, as he used Nature's Favor on himself and Hula Girl once more, as the green glows again surrounding him, Hula Girl, and their foe, increasing both of their strength further, while further decreasing their foe’s defense. Getting attacked from both sides, the Shipwreck Shark Heartless turned its attention towards Hula Girl, as it started shooting water from its mouth and began to charge towards her with a belly slide. Not wasting time, Mikey chased after the Shipwreck Shark, preparing an attack he knew as Arcane Darkness. With his Bow Keyblade in his left hand, a dark purple aura started surrounding it. He then summoned out the Stroke of Midnight Keyblade with his right, as it was veiled in a light blue aura. Seeing the Heartless charging towards her, Hula Girl quickly jumped to the side, dodging the charge as the Shipwreck Shark jumped and stood back up right where Hula Girl was just standing, just as it quickly turned around to face Mikey. With the Shipwreck Shark now facing towards him, Mikey leapt at the Heartless. However, before Mikey could make his attack connect, the Shipwreck Shark moved both of its fins in front of itself, using them to block. Using its fins to protect itself, Mikey began slashing at it repeatedly, with each slash leaving a trail of dark energy in its wake, and bursting with it upon striking. Despite Mikey trying to break through its defense, he wasn’t able to make it stagger. But as this was happening, Hula Girl saw her opening.
Hula Girl: Now’s my chance!
Just as Mikey had struck the Shipwreck Shark Heartless 12 times with this attack, Hula Girl dashed to the side of the Heartless, as she used Sonic Blade. In an instant, Hula Girl disappeared from where she was standing, as the Shipwreck Shark was suddenly struck from the sides, each hit being done with very swift speed. Hula Girl was appearing at the other side of the Shipwreck Shark, and then back where she was before repeatedly. After the 8th hit, Hula Girl stopped her attack, appearing where she was before she started her attack. With each hit Hula Girl inflicted on the Shipwreck Shark, the Heartless was showing signs it had taken damage. However, it was still able to fight. At the same time, Mikey withdrew his Stroke of Midnight Keyblade, vanishing as quickly as it appeared.
Just as the Shipwreck Shark was beginning to recover from Hula Girl’s attack, Mikey started to levitate up. As he levitated above the ground, he was preparing an attack called Radiant Glory. With everything set, Mikey threw his Bow Keyblade in a circular motion, causing it to rotate at very high speeds and hit the Shipwreck Shark Heartless. As the Bow Keyblade landed the hit, Mikey suddenly teleported and appeared at the other side, catching his weapon and throwing it back to the Shipwreck Shark Heartless again before teleporting again, and again, and again. Mikey did this seven times, each of the hits hitting the Heartless in succession. However, just as Mikey grabbed his Bow Keyblade to land the eighth hit, the Heartless unexpectedly moved to the side, just as its right fin moved up. This caused Mikey’s Bow Keyblade to clash against the Shipwreck Shark’s large bangle. Adjusting itself only a bit, the Heartless was able to block Mikey’s last strike. But in doing this, Hula Girl rushed towards the Shipwreck Shark, ready to swing her Keyblade as she used Fire Dash.
Turning its head towards Hula Girl, the Heartless quickly moved its left fin in front of it, just as Hula Girl’s Keyblade was veiled in flames. Swinging her weapon, Hula Girl’s Keyblade clashed with the Shipwreck Shark’s other bangle. With all three of them at a stalemate, neither one was letting off on their offense and defense. But after several seconds had passed, the large bangle that was blocking Hula Girl’s Keyblade began to glow, as the heat from her Keyblade made it become red hot. With the heat becoming unbearable, the Shipwreck Shark faltered from its stance, pushing Mikey away with its right fin, as it left itself wide open for Hula Girl to get off a successful heat slash across its body. Even with taking damage from Hula Girl’s attack, the Shipwreck Shark started shooting water from its mouth again, as it did a belly slide towards the water, completely submerging itself and now hiding from its two targets.
Mikey: That was a good hit you landed on it, Kamiya!
Hula Girl: That may be. But this isn’t over. That thing only retreated back into the water because of my flames. But it has its eyes on us now. Who knows when it will pop up to strike again.
Mikey: You’re right. But I think I know how to get it out of the water.
Hula Girl: Oh? Then let’s see what you got.
Giving a smile to Hula Girl, Mikey raised his Bow Keyblade up into the air, as he used Shining Star to try and provoke the Shipwreck Shark. The sky darkened above them, and this was when 6 shooting stars came falling from the sky, aimed at the water. Each shooting star crashed into the water, making large splashes upon impact. After the shooting stars landed in the water, it caused the waters to crash to the beach in waves. At the same time, the clouds dissipated and the sky became bright again. As the waters started to calm, the Shipwreck Shark jumped out of the water again, ready to crash-land on top of the jungle boy and jungle girl. But at that moment, Hula Girl used this moment to ready herself, as she used Strike Raid. Hula Girl’s Keyblade started to glow, where she then threw her keyblade up in the air, spinning in a cartwheel, heading straight towards the Shipwreck Shark Heartless. Her Keyblade struck the Shipwreck Shark Heartless successfully, causing it to fall from the air, and land on its back on the sandy ground. With Hula Girl’s Keyblade returning to her, both her and Mikey looked over towards their enemy. Despite taking heavy damage throughout this fight, and taking a big fall to the ground, the Shipwreck Shark was able to jump back up onto its feet.
Hula Girl: I gotta admit. This is one stubborn fish.
Mikey: Yeah. A stubborn fish on its last legs.
Hula Girl: Are you able to keep going?
Mikey: I can. But don’t have enough energy to use anymore abilities.
Hula Girl: And I only have enough to do just one more.
Mikey: In that case, I got a plan.
Hula Girl: I’m listening.
Mikey: I may not have enough energy to use any of my abilities, but I can give you an opening.
Making his plan go into fruition, Mikey quickly dashed towards the Shipwreck Shark. As he got closer and closer, he reached to the quiver on his back with his right hand, and picked out a Light Sword arrow, one of several special arrows Mikey keeps in his arsenal. When he was at a close enough distance, he placed it on his bow keyblade. Seeing Mikey rushing towards it, the Shipwreck Shark raised its right fin, ready to strike the jungle boy down. However, as Mikey took aim, he aimed at the Heartless’ shoulder, firing his arrow. The arrow made a direct hit at the Heartless’ shoulder, as it began to emit electricity all over its body. The Shipwreck Shark was stunned. Getting under the Shipwreck Shark’s arm, Mikey made a baseball slide on the sand passing through the Heartless and out of Hula Girl’s way.
Mikey: It’s stunned, Kamiya! Now’s your chance!!!
Hula Girl: Got it!!!
Seeing the opening Mikey had made, Hula Girl seized the opportunity. She dashed towards the Heartless in front of her, as she brought her Keyblade in front of her, as it became veiled in flames once more. Using the last of her energy, Hula Girl used Flame Blade, as she used it to swiftly go through the Shipwreck Shark Heartless back and forth 5 times.
Hula Girl: IT’S OVER!!!
Hula Girl dealt the 6th and final hit against the Shipwreck Shark Heartless, which caused it to be engulfed in her flames. Despite trying to flail its fins everywhere, it couldn’t extinguish the flames. Eventually, the Heartless collapsed, as it burned to a crisp. But as its body was burning to ash, the strong Heart that it had taken was released from its body, letting the strong heart go up into the air as it disappeared into thin air. The Shipwreck Shark had been defeated.
