A crew of strangers are spirited away to the underground night-city of Vermidae for the very first time, guided by their 'friendly' local rabbit-man. They are, from left to right...

Indigo Starling (it/its) [Doormat] - Failed actor, has been working as a line cook at terrible steakhouse "Beef Oasis." Loud, confrontational, clever, but folds at any pressure. Fell into Vermidae a week ago and has been scrounging and bumming around until running into the rest of the crew.

Pepper Wailer (she/they) [Runaway] - A drifter, working as a seasonal temp at the local big box store. Fled foster care as a teen, and things never got any easier. Just needs one good year, just one. Anxious, shy, resourceful, and a pretty good cook. Desperate for any kind of stability.

Zee (she/they) [Delinquent] - Has been working at the local big box store for far, far too long. Hates this fucking town, and spends her free time in various forms of sedation. Intense, snarky, tenacious, and enjoys getting into fights a little too much. She's so, SO fucking bored.

Meredith Gold (she/her) [Dreamer] - Struggling graphic designer and substitute art teacher. Haunted by guilt over a car accident that put her sister in a coma. Impulsive, curious, creative, and steadily unraveling. Someone told her that her sister was down here somewhere. But... That's impossible, right?

Hutch (he/him) - Has been coming down here for a bit. His boyfriend turned into a goopy rubber rat and left him some time ago (which was doubly unfortunate, as he was the one who paying the rent). Knows his way around and how to stay out of trouble (mostly). He's been hired to bring these newcomers to giant alligator mob-boss Marty Crowne, and the sooner this is over with, the better.
