This one took me quite a bit to do, although not as long as the Spider Sol Yi Piece I did fairly recently. And this time around, I have another addition for the Spider Sol AU I got brewing, with this one being Yi's love interest, Mei Zhen (who is the Solarian Equivalent to Mary Jane Watson to a certain degree).

I initially sketched this in my sketchbook sometime ago, though wasn't sure on how to go about her appearance when I started sketching this. However, I decided to have her be from the same village or clan as Lady Ethereal Herself (hence her ears). Yet in Mei's case, when I got to reworking this digitally, I decided to give her red hair reminiscent to Mary Jane's own (which she was born with due to being one of the few rare cases where a Solarian's hair color didn't match their fur color), along with having blue-ish eyes.

For Mei Zhen, she attended the same school as Yi as well as even living fairly close by, due to her family moving to the Xia Kingdom at some point in her life. She would befriend Yi not long after moving to the Xia Kingdom and even got involved in Science after hanging out with him for some time. But not long after the explosion that briefly killed Yi before his resurrection via Primordial Roots, she and her family moved away, even though she still attended the same schools Yi attended.

During her High School Years, she'd begin working with Lady Ethereal, who came from the same village she was born in, and be involved with some of the projects Lady Ethereal worked on.

She later got involved with another Solarian who called himself Flash (who bullied Yi, which annoyed her even if she didn't show it) during their senior year at the High School/Science Academy she attended. Though she'd break things off with him after an altercation occurred between Yi and Flash after the former accidentally threw a tray via web a few days after suffering a spider bite, as well as Flash striking Heng (Yi's sister and a freshman at the time) whilst attempting to break up the altercation.

She'd hear rumors about a vigilante named Spider Sol some time after the altercation (unaware it was Yi at the time) and would be saved by him on various occasions. It wouldn't be long before she figured out it was Yi himself (partially due to the Jade Ring stabilizing his heart being seen on the costume despite the green parts blending in with the suit) and soon after starting a relationship with him despite Yi's initially being against it despite wanting the same thing due to his predicament. While their relationships would have ups and downs, their bond grew stronger until she later married him in Origin Era 465, as well as having their first child nearly a year later.

Mei also befriended his sister, Heng, and would help provide council her upon Heng finding out her brother was Spider Sol himself. Same for providing love and support for her husband whenever he needed it.
