I am still so totally hyped about how awesome this is, he looks SO FABULOUS!!!!
The way you packed as much energy and motion into this pose as you did is so inspiring to me! The anatomy, too, is absolutely stellar!
your choice of color for the lineart is also fantastic, bringing out the best in the underlying colors, while keeping a wonderful boldness! Your lineart is SO dang good! I just love the texture of it, the varied thicknesses, and the sense of confidence it embodies! Gives such a cool comic book meets quill pen kind of look that I absolutely adore! I also super duper love the hairstyle, you draw messy hair SO wonderfully- love the volume of that fluff and all the fun little stray hairs springing up! Love the sharpness of his tail fin, too, and the gorgeous highlighting~ the metal of the belt buckles and chains and the sleek sharky tail are so nice wwwwwaaaaaaaaaaa!~!!!!! Then there's the clothes which GOODNESS GRACIOUS look so dang cool here! you made his shoes look so spiffy I'm going to need a pair for myself smh and I love the way you drew the folds in the shirt and coat and pants like ??? clothing folds are so hard to get right especially with thick lines how do you do that??? total art goals. Idk maybe it's weird to be as "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" about something like a fold but like- look at how the cloth swivels with his outstretched arms, how the collar of the jacket pinches at the shoulder like that- and how the cloth tucks in at the places where the belts put pressure, and the way the coat frames his lil fishy butt aaaaa I JUST really like your art, gosh dang! I would be remiss not to mention just how much I love the face, too! That expression is SO PRECIOUS! I love how you drew his sharp-toothed smile! His eyes are so lovely, too- the shape and nice angular lineart with that splash of red for the pupils is SO GOOD >:0000 and I see those handsome eyebrows, that has not escaped my admiration! Honestly, just such a fan of how cool Ryka looks in your art style, and more than that- it warms my heart to know you could have a fun time with his design!! That's the best part of all with a commission is knowing it could still be a fun project despite being work c:
