After the fairly turbulent past couple of months for life happenings, September was pretty quiet and cozy. The only real problems I had was from my own bipolar mental health occasionally throughout the month and then catching a Cold in the last week.

New laptop

I now own a new gaming grade laptop and it has made an enormous difference in my productivity. As soon as I got it I put it through the paces of resource heavy 3D modeling and it passed with flying colors. This should bode very well to future venture in the genre!

I have done a bit more actual gaming too, almost all in a game I’ve been having a blast with called Vintage Story. Its like a hardcore survivalist Minecraft-like game. I love how everything you need to do has weight/meaning to it, unlike Minecraft where much of what you “need” to do there tends to be more roleplaying or pretending to make projects important.

I will admit I play with slightly custom watered down settings as I learn the game, but eventually I want to go back and play again with the difficult default settings.

3D Modeling

I finished my 2nd major 3D modeling online course and am ready to move on to a 3rd, more advanced one. The one I have picked out will focus on animation and rigging and should hopefully give me the skill set to better prepare me for building my models in such a way to put them in VR or Pawperty Damage. >w>

Work on the Thundelle model continued. It’s very slow but is making for a good learning process. I’ve been getting lots of help from more seasoned veterans like Aleron and Stampy as well. We’ve all see the amazing stuff they’ve done alright! =w=

Writing

I also posted literary additions to pictures that went up on Patreon. One was a full blown short story of Ga’Yunn the Hisuian Zoroark meeting my Pokesona. The other was a little story blurb to go with Vapvautia car washing a new car for my Pokesona, done in the same spirit of the old story blurbs I used to do.

To me, writing captures scenes so much more vividly than still pictures do; I’m hoping these projects will help bring to life my characters more and what the world they live in is like.

Cold

I very rarely ever get sick but near the end of the month the temperature plunged and I didn’t realize it. I was ill dressed and thus wound up with a Cold (I don’t believe I caught it from anyone). Usually I get over my illnesses quickly but this one stuck around in part because it happened on top of Hellday, my newspaper job, that is the most intense work period of the week with no chance to rest.

Despite the Cold, I was still putting in at least 4 hour work days. I usually do 8-9 every day but hey, something is better than nothing. And I was usually doing stuff like poking at projects while also watching videos.
