Picture done for fun to make sure all my electronic equipment made it throught the move without breaking. Obviously it did... lol.
I've always admitted openly that I'm not a dog person (Foxes being the exception... I do have a soft spot for them as my childhood "fursona" was one). Personally, I've never understood why most people find them so appealing. Those faux native American wolves I see popping up on most art sites are very beautiful to look at, but honestly I find them a bit overdone. I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes by saying that, just a personal opinion. >_>
That's where this gal comes in. I wanted to take my own spin on a wolf character... try to do something a little more unique then a lot of the other wolves I've seen out there.
Her colors and markings are directly based off of the suntiger tarantula: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/50/1.....6f58d475bc.jpg
Also, made her clothes a bit Euro-Fantasy.
EDIT: I'm currently auctioning off this character design. If you want to call here YOUR character, click here for details: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2387445/

I gotta agree with ya there (even though my mate is a wolf)....wolves and canines in general are overdone. However I think it is the idea of loyalty, running with a group friends/comrads, being a competent hunter, ect ect Just appeals to people. Of course canines aren't the only ones like this...which is why I went with the route of a meerkat instead. Meerkats have most of these traits and to me are much cuter.
As for your art I would say indeed that everything made it through the move without problem. This is a nice piece and I love the colors overall. Also like the slight detailing of fur here and there that you added :)

Another very beautiful lady. :)
Say, I have a question, and sadly no, it's not "Can I really buy this character?" XD
Though I do like her a lot.
But I was wondering about your creative process. When you create a character, do you usually make reference drawings of them, or is a drawing like this the first one of the character? I hope that didn't sound confusing. ^^;
I usually wind up making a few sketches of the character standing around before I make more dynamic poses of them. So I was just wondering how you do it.
Thank you for your time!

When I design a character, I usually jump right into a concept picture because I already have the design in my head.
However, when I'm doing a character that I'm spending a lot of time designing because I'm planning on making them a personal character that I use frequently, I will often do a page of sketches and notes for myself, like I did with Xicohtencoatl: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5544914/

Ah, that's cool. After seeing a number of your drawings, I figured that was how you created your characters.
I take it that's how you created your suntiger wolf? It's a really cool idea to mix markings from such different species, and she turned out very well.
Thanks for responding! :)
