Original Species: Desert Grand Steed
The Desert Grand Steed is the slightly smaller and more aggressive relative of the common Grand Steed. Living in the same environment as the Blood Flies, this equine had developed a distinct striped pattern on its body, which protects it against insect attacks. While it does resemble Earth Zebras, it is not quite striped enough to be classified as one. Furthermore, it is closer in biology to a wild horse, rather than a wild donkey (hence the distinction).
The Desert Grand Steed is an aggressive creature and thus highly dangerous. The harsh environment, sparse resources, and presence of predators lead this animal to develop a nasty temper. If it cannot escape a threat, it will immediately fly into a rage, biting, stomping, and tearing at whatever tries to attack it. This, unfortunately, is not restricted to predators and actual threats. If the Grand Steed sees an unfamiliar creature within its territory, it will attack first and ask questions later, consequences be damned.
