Floyd finds himself at an isolated estate in the middle of the desert while attempting to escape a thunderstorm. There, he finds himself with a genius inventor attempting to create a machine that’ll help supply pioneers with the lumber that they need to create a life for themselves. The Automated Lumberman may carve and cut to his own rhythm, though.

Whew, alright! Here’s the last one in this big spree of short stories! It’s a serious piece written for  i8cherrypie featuring his cowboy character trying to stay alive against a killer robot and one that allowed me to flex my action scene muscles a bit more, hell yeah!

I wanna thank you all for bearing with me. Sinister Phage is one of the biggest projects I think I’ve ever worked on and the length that this took speaks to that… but it’s also been an incredible amount of fun. I’m really, really happy how many people took to the idea, and it’s thrilling that people like the Black Cat’s Path event in general. I wanna keep doing this and I wanna keep giving y’all fun prompts that let you go in wild and unexpected directions, it’s cool to me to be able to do something that feels very “me” and have everyone wanna hop on board for it while also being able to support myself for it.

This isn’t the end of what I’ve got to share this Halloween either. We’ve still got YCHs to post, after all. Keep your eyes on this space… <3
