the inspiration for Trench here is rather dark as he was inspired by the cruel disgusting action of people placing animals in tied up bags and throwing them into bodies of water

No one is truly sure what Trench's deal is some say that he was man chained and drowned within a river for an nothing more then being in the wrong place at the wrong time, some say that he committed a crime and was executed by drowning but from what is known about the water locked abomination trench trudges across the bottom of deep bodies of water from the ocean to lakes and rivers dragging two cinder blocks behind him. if somone of impure or malicious soul comes near to the water's edge with truly heinous intent he will swing his chains around them and drag them into the depths to drown them. it was also found that he is immune to most types of attacks including magic the only way to escape or temporarily defeat trench is by escaping from the body of water which he occupies for although he may walk onto land he must always return to the water before his body crumbles.
though whether he is a truly evil being is still unknown
