This is an almost complete background for my comic.

When I started making this, I planned for a single main street, with a load of backalleys for interesting locations. The whole area was mapped out, buildings roughed in with basic dimensions and heights. I wanted to add a bit of an oriental style to it, similar to some Eastern cities with tight streets and loads of overhead cables, and street-level stuff cluttering up the place.

Most of the clutter is still to come, and the first few cables are in place.

The main rule behind the whole thing though, is that each building must have something interesting about it. no plain old rectangles with windows. One building has the skeletal remnants of a sign on it's roof, another has a mass of balconies. Radio towers, unfinished buildings, and masses of pipework are other features around the place.
