I made this shitty little Falco underwear doodle over on twitter when i was asking about the preferred amount of inanimate to a tf. Figured I'd ask my FA watchers too LOL.
A: full details and features (full awareness and sentience if you're into perma)
B: simplified details or smudged features ( slightly aware or muted thoughts again, if perma)
C: simplified to the point of basic patterns and colors ( barely considered sentient at this point, basically "..." thoughts)
I'm personally a B person myself (and honestly i like perma scenarios LOL) but I'm curious what others think!

For the visuals, I prefer C, or maybe even further than that. If it's a sequence, then going through stages progressively untill there are less and less visual details is also nice.
But as for the mental situation, I see no need to match it with the visuals, even looking like a completely mundane item from the outside it could still have full sentience, and I prefer full awareness, or at most slightly muffled thoughts myself.
