Here is the other pic I took of the little fawn, I was about 3' from it when I took both of these pics, it is being cute, don't you think? :)

As Kiba made mention, a fawns defense against predators is to lie very still, they have almost no sent so they can not be detected that way. They will even suspend breathing if a predator is very near. The doe will leave the fawn to bed while she goes to brows for food. When she returns to the area she will call to her fawn and it will come out of hiding.
Indeed, was why I figured i would take some pics of it, this is the 2nd time i have been this close to a fawn and could take pics, but we have a small herd of I believe 6 of them that roam through our yard from time to time in the late evening. I have a video clip of it but I am sure it is way too big to post. :)
