"...they're just to stupid to appreciate the AWESOMENESS that is me!"
I'm so tired of hearing nasty comments from people about chihuahuas. You can honestly compare the ignorance and hate towards this breed to the way pit bulls are treated. They don't get the same KIND of hate/fear that pits do, but it's hate/disrespect nonetheless. They're called yappy, annoying, mean, stupid, "fake" dogs, etc and so on...it's disgusting. These little dogs are often "one person" dogs, meaning they pick "their person" and are totally devoted to them. They're protective of them, which can be where a lot of the "yappy & mean" stuff comes from, especially if you don't properly socialize them early on. They're insanely popular thanks to the media and famous celebs that carry them around as if they're fashion accessories. That's something else that makes me mad. These dogs aren't TOYS, they aren't trinkets to wear with your favorite dress.
I was just in a rant at someone who called them "shit eaters" & "little bastards". This person also calls themselves a dog person and is totally against bsl and the way people act about pit bulls. HYPOCRITE. You're judging chihuahuas the same way people judge pits! WHY DON'T THESE FUCKWITS THINK? I'm sorry...perhaps they're incapable of processing intelligent thoughts. Never thought that.
ANYWAY. HATERS GUNNA HATE.
And I'ma tell 'em to piss the fuck off every time.
If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything...and if you HATE any type of dog that much, DON'T include yourself in the dog community or call yourself a "dog person". Hater.
/rant.
PS: Foxy is AWESOME.
:D

There's really no such thing as a "teacup" chihuahua...it's a term often used by backyard breeders to earn a profit for a "special type" of chihuahua.
These sites explain better than I ever could: http://www.meetgypsy.com/teacup_myth.html & http://www.crossroadchihuahuas.net/id7.html

I agree, they're very smart! My Foxy was rescued from a nasty backyard breeder situation. He was about 5 years old when we adopted him and I'm almost 100% certain he was never shown any true affection in his first home...he was just used as a "stud". After a few days, he started to cling to me and formed an intense attachment. I *was* just suppose to be fostering him...but I turned out to be a foster failure, he chose me and that's all there was to it lol! He's always the first to bark whenever someone knocks at the door, and the main one to bark at the neighbors, but he's SO sweet. He's my little shadow and follows me everywhere. He's not mean, but he is shy of strangers. He's never nipped at anyone though.
