Another gorgeous commission made by the most wonderful !

This one was a long time in waiting, but it was well worth every day of it!

It's no surprise that I have a great love and appreciation to the film Heavy Metal. It still stands as my most favorite animated film I've ever seen. No matter what other animated features I see, even if they are better, I will still regard Heavy Metal highly and hold high esteem for it. Mostly because as a child I saw this film in the theaters when I was 10 years old! I then was thrust into reading Heavy Metal Magazine at a young age to read more stories and find the back issues of the ones that inspired the segments in the film.

All the stories stood out to me, but the most significant one was Taarna the Taarakian, inspired by Moebius' Arzach tales. I loved her characte and the design to her outfit. Her beauty and grace as well as her deadly use of a sword. The story about her race and what they stood for in the defending others and upholding justice. The pact and the bond to avenge. It was all the more intriguing that her character was a mute, but that was just only one facet to her mysterious presence.

As a tribute to my appreciation of my favorite character, I had commissioned Spazzy to portray my Asphyxia in a cosplay of Taarna from that film. I think she did an outstanding job in that portrayal and absolutely adore this image. It's so dynamic and does great justice to her and the outfit is absolutely perfect! The only minor detail missing are my own characters two pairs of hoop earrings that she has in her ears. Although, that aside, this is a stunning piece of work by Spazzy. <3
