When found in an alleyway outside the Institute, Charlie looked depressed, confused, and disheartened. Not much is known about Charlie aside from the brightly colored stickers applied to their left plates and cheery demeanor they put up for families. It does not help that Charlie cannot remember much of their past but they want to get out of their funk and back to being truly happy and not faking it. So far we assume that Charlie was either a Nanny or a babysitter from the stickers and general demeanor when interacting with families. From testing interactions with families, and under supervision, they have shown incredible patience with children and is quite happy looking after them. They reported that nap time was their favorite time, not for the silence but for their tail being used as a pillow/blanket.
Aggression and defensive postures have not been tested yet to see how Charlie reacts to dangerous situations when those under their charge are threatened or in danger.
Charlie visits the institute once a week for these tests and exercises. They feel like they are learning more about themselves after they lost their memories with each visit.
Charlie is currently residing in a Lost Protogen house, living with several other Protogens in the house. It is a place where Protogens that want to break free of their programming or have lost their reason to exist (due to obsolescence, company closed, let go, etc.) go to recuperate and be with other Protogens in a similar situation. The goal is for them to learn to help each other achieve personal goals but also the goals of the group. Charlie is one of the central Protogens that stays in contact with all their house mates.
