Wow did I ever love this idea!
One of my first tries at a more animalistic head. Wow is that eye off! Poor fellow also looks like he's going to tip backwards. :/
One of my first tries at seriously coloring anything. It might've[ turned out better if I used better material than regular typing paper & hard children's pencils, but that's doubtful.

It's like an Egyptians hieroglyph; the eye isn't in profile so much as as if looking straight-on. I also think it's positioned little too high, but maybe that's due to being accustomed to seeing & drawing anthros with a higher cranial dome.
Yes---that tail IS too stiff! Hey, thanks! Sometimes you can look & look and know something is out of kilter, without being able to place what, and that drives me nuts (how can I prevent it from happening again if I don't know what to fix, etc).
And because of that stiffness, it's accentuating how off-balance the pose looks.

Well, when drawing a tail try to think of weight, and study pictures of what you're drawing. He seems to be a fox (mainly) so the spine isnt going to stick straight out like a dog or cats would, the weight of his fluff will bring it down just slightly. If you want the tail to be up, try adding a dip near the base, then back up, it'll make it look more fluid.
Course! I love your art, and always look to you when I get a bit frustrated, so I'd love to help when I can. ^^
