I was thinking of what to do with my versions of the Starfox characters and went "wouldn't it be fucked up if-," and before I knew it, I had written a ton of lore for a timeline where Andross kidnaps a bunch of other characters and brainwashed them to serve as his own elite team, partially because of their skills and partially to mess with people he doesn't like. Poor Slip resisted reprogramming as hard as he could, but it ended up screwing his brain up and inverting his personality. Now he's very uncomfortably into killing people and blowing shit up for Andross. Oops!
It doesn't help that this version of Slippy is a military prodigy; he only specializes as the Great Fox's engineer because that's what he enjoys the most. Now his entire suite of skills is at Venom's disposal.
